*i love you and that's all I really know;; ``IT'S A LOVE STORY BABY JUST SAY YES,, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Groaning and pulling the covers over her head, Mia attempted to ignore the yelling and screaming happening downstairs. Pulling her pillow over her ears, she found it completely superfluous. Louis and her mother had lungs that could blow down ten houses without breaking a sweat. She needed a break. Louie needed a break. Pushing the covers off of her, she glared at the ceiling. The yelling only escalated. "Why won't term start?" She asked, her voice teary, betraying the tears in her eyes. Rubbing them away, she sat up and slid off of her bed. The twins needed a day in Diagon Alley. Away from that atrocious toad down in the den. Grabbing some clothing, she slowly exited her room to take a shower. When she was done, she found Louie on her bed, tossing a snitch up and down. It was odd how close they were when they were so exceedingly different, in looks and personality. The blonde and brunette exchanged looks, and he shrugged. "Go to Diagon Alley. I'm on house arrest, love," Standing up, he patted her on the shoulder. "I'm going to my room, Ames. Tread carefully." With that, Mia watched him leave her room, Chewing her lip, she rubbed her face. Oh how she hated that infernal woman! And how much she wanted to be free of this house. But until she completed her seventh year at Hogwarts, she was stuck here. They both were stuck here. Shackled to the floor.
A few hours later, Mia was dressed to go. A white summery dress with a red sash tied around her waist. Slipping on a pair of red flip flops, she picked up her bag and check her curly ponytail in the mirror. Once satisfied that she looked alright, she slowly left her bedroom, looking around for signs of her mother. Sure that she was out of sight, and her mother was not aware of her daughter leaving, she slipped down the stairs and almost made it to the front door. "Amelia Bree Umbridge!" The throaty yell of her mother made Mia stop and turn, blue eyes wide. "Where do you think YOU are going?" The shorter, fatter woman stormed up to her, dark brown eyes blazing. "D-Diagon Alley. I need school supplies..." Mia stammered, pressing her back against the wood of the door. Her mother terrified her. There was no doubt of that. It took just one utterance of that woman's voice and the girl was in tears and shaking like a leaf. "No, no. You are going to stay HERE, and clean. This place is atrociously out of order and YOU will clean it." Dolores grabbed her arm with a strange strength. Mia whimpered, "M-Mother.. it's not dirty at all! It's actually rat-" Her voice was cut off by a swift back handed slap across the face. Before she could say anything else, someone pushed her away from Mia. "Go. Before she does something worse." Louis pushed her out of the door, and she didn't argue. She wanted to get far away from there.
Amelia ran to her neighbor's house, thankful that the mark on her cheek wasn't obvious yet. It didn't take long before she was standing in the Leaky Cauldron. And then she dashed out into the crowded marketplace. She wanted to cry. She wanted to hide. But, she bit her trembling lip and looked around for a shop that could help her resolve her issues. She needed a distraction. Her eyes found the ice cream shop and she ran to it. She didn't care if she looked insane or not. She needed the ice cream to take the thick feeling out of her mouth. And Mint Chocolate Frog Ice cream would do just that. It wasn't long before she was sitting in the most secluded of booths, head down on the table, trying to control the tears running down her face. Why couldn't she have a normal family, with a normal loving mother? Sniffling, she hugged her arms around her head tighter, pushing her body over and back so she was in the corner of the booth. Her ice cream lay disregarded, forgotten. Not even ice cream could make her feel better. And imagining what Louis was going through to protect her made her feel worse. Amelia needed something, anything, to make her feel better.

Brigham had been shut up in his room for most of the day, avoiding his family. For some reason or another, they were all overly cheery at the fact his older brother had moved back temporarily while he searched for a new home. Apparently the flat he had previously occupied in London had been cursed when a wizard had discovered the home. Blane had many enemies who would love to curse him twenty times over, yet in the past he had always been so careful when returning to his private residence. Especially since he was smack in the middle of muggle central. Yet when their father had discovered the young man sleeping in his office at the ministry, he'd ordered him home while Blane house hunted. It was a move done solely out of obligation, and without regard to anyone else who lived in the Kenmare manor.
The residence was really more of a castle than manor, but because of its location, it was the size of a manor. The outward appearance and structure was the only castle part about it. Brigham had become fond of the home ever since moving there at a young age. He was just a lad, and the family moved to take care of his mother's parents. It would be this castle that Briggs would form his bond with his grandfather. While moving from his desk, Briggs tripped over his Irish wolfhound, Pup and cursed slightly. Today was not his day. First and altercation with his brother had left a black ring around his left eye, which he refused to let his mother heal, and then the realization of wear and tear his broom had taken. Pulling on a pair of wrinkled jeans and a white tanktop, Briggs put a blue, navy and white long sleeved, button down plaid shirt over it and pulled on his shoes. Without speaking to his parents, he had simply grabbed his money pouch and apparated into diagon alley. It wasn't as if his parents would miss him anyways.
Once in the crowded streets, Brigham realized what a mistake the visit had been. People were scrambling every which way to gain student supplies for the upcoming school year. There were tons of young kids nearly two feet shorter than him or more, with pudgy faces and hands, all looking at the places to explore. The elderly witches and wizards smiled at him kindly, a look Briggs was used to. He always looked so clean cut and easy to approach despite his size and build. People just naturally felt safe with him around, though he never really knew why. On his way to the Quidditch Supply shop, he accidentally bumped into an older man, and thats when he noticed Mia. Amelia Umbridge, his best friend since first year. Yet, she looked upset. Pushing past the throng of people, Briggs caught up wtih her and tapped her shoulder with a grin. He had a sneaking suspicion of who was behind her heartache today. "Mia? Hey, what's going on?" [LT:Billy Joel - The Entertainer]

Amelia sniffed, and buried her face deeper into the confines of her arms. Her tears came in steady streams, shoulder shaking gently. Hearing someone approach, she looked up slightly. Feeling someone's hand on her shoulder, then a familiar voice, she sat up completely. Looking at Briggs with watery blue eyes, she attempted to keep her composure. It wasn't working very well. "M-Mum hit me.." She stammered and then put her head back down on the table before another set of tears hit her and she would end up embarrassing herself, and him. That was the last thing she wanted. What did she want at the moment? To live far, far away from her mother. Why did Dolores always pic her out? Why not Louis? That was easy. Mia was the weaker one. The easy target. The one that she knew wouldn't fight back. Her cheek still throbbed from where the older woman's hand connected with her skin. That only made her cry harder. "Why does she hate me, Briggs?" She asked, her voice muffled by both her arms and her tears. She was the outcasted Umbridge. Her mother's greatest disappointment.

[/b] He shook his head heavily. He honestly was at a loss for words. "Its not you though," He told her firmly, "It has never been you, or your brother. Its her. Its that vile awful woman. And I promise you, I won't let her hurt you anymore. Not again."[/size][/ul][/blockquote]
