the vegetable gardens are located not far from the groundskeeper's cabin; it is where all of the school's vegetables are grown.

there is a large flower garden located on the school grounds. There are gravel paths and benches for those who like to stroll through the gardens from time to time.

the herbology office is located in a small, wooden shed connect to one of the greenhouses. It has one large window and often smells of wet soil.

the greenhouses are where the plants with magical properties are grown. The herbology class takes place here.

the forbidden forest is a dangerous wood filled with mysterious creatures. The students aren't allowed to enter the forest, but that doesn't ever seem to stop them from doing so. Any student caught attempting to enter the forest or inside of it will receive a detention.

the whomping willow is located at the top of a large hill. It's branches had a tendency to lash out angrily at passersby, so be careful when nearing this tree. At the base of it's trunk is a hidden entrance of a secret passage leading to the shrieking shack. It's getting close enough to get inside that's the problem.

located south of the castle, the lake is home to various creatures such as merfolk, grindylows, and the giant squid.

the front gate to the school, leading out into Hogsmeade village. A pair of stone statues in the likeness of winged boars sit on either side of the gate.
