No New Posts ( the leaky cauldron )

built by Daisy Dodderidge around 1500 "to serve as a gateway between the non-wizarding world and Diagon Alley" , the Leaky Cauldron has remained a famous and popular place for five hundred years. Located not in Diagon Alley proper but on the outside, on Charing Cross Road in the heart of London, the pub is "tiny" and "grubby-looking," sandwhiched between a book shop and a record shop where passing Muggles don't seem to be able to see it.

No New Posts ( flourish & blotts )

a large wizarding bookshop filled with shelves stacked to the ceiling, Flourish & Blotts is the primary - and perhaps only - supplier of textbooks for Hogwarts, though of course that's far from all they sell. The shop holds occasional book-signings, such as when Gilderoy Lockhart stopped by in 1992, and sells books via owl in addition to books purchased in-store.

No New Posts ( gringott's wizard bank )

Partway down Diagon Alley, near its intersection with Knockturn Alley, stands an imposing snow-white marble building: Gringotts Wizarding Bank. "Towering over the other shops", it is the place where British witches and wizards store their money and other valuables, in vaults miles below ground. The vaults are heavily guarded.

No New Posts ( madam malkin's robes for all occasions )

Madam Malkin's is located next door to Flourish & Blotts, and in addition to selling Hogwarts school robes, they also sell robes which are "spangled, self-ironing, beautifying, slimming, fattening, lengthening," and "temperature-adjusting" and they carry robes made by Whopperwear "for the outsize witch or wizard." A later advertisement states that every robe sold at the store is "self-ironing and repairing" as well.

No New Posts ( weasley's wizard wheezes )

Fred and George Weasley worked for several years to develop a line of comic magic items which they hoped to sell through their company, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. They were putting together order forms during the summer of 1994 with the hope of selling the items at school. At the end of the 1994 - 1995 school year, Harry Potter gave the Weasley twins a thousand galleons he had won in the Triwizard Tournament as seed money to start them with their business. Initially the twins ran their business as an owl-order service, but they acquired premises during their final year at Hogwarts and set up shop at Number 93, Diagon Alley.

( diagon alley )
tapping just the right brick in the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron in London ("Three up...two across...") will reveal an archway which is a portal into Diagon Alley, a long cobbled street where is to be found a strange and exciting assortment of shops and restaurants. It is unquestionably the hub of commerce in the British wizarding world, with virtually every wizarding business stationed there.
