Oh, if only his mother knew where he was now. Well, actually she did - so he didn't have much to worry about. His uncle's prank shop was a second home to him, other than freddie's house of course. He's successfully made it out of the house without a sibling following close behind, though he wouldn't have minded lily or albus coming along. Freddie wouldn't have cared, he was sure. Fred was just as much friends with his siblings as he was with him, he was fairly sure. But there was no doubt that he considered Freddie one of his closest friends. After pranking alongside him for that long, it was the least he could call him. Needless to say, the two were close. They had pranked and picked on rose for the longest, and flirting with her friends to get a rise out of her never failed to stir a laugh between the two boys. It was hilarious, always had been. Always would be.
The streets of hogsmeade were the same as he'd seen them last - crowded with people, and blurred airwaves, thick with conversation. No doubt his mother and father were lurking inside one of the shops - she never skipped a beat when it came to a chance to shop for another new item for her kitchen. She was a lot like grandmother molly, in that sense. Speaking of which, he'd probably need to get around to visiting her pretty soon. Either that, or he would be deprived of his christmas sweater this upcoming holiday. And that, he decided, would be a devastating blow in itself. Merlin knew he couldn't go a day without his woolen sweater collection. Nor a cheerful owl from his endearing grandmother. As he thought fondly of all the memories, he instantly felt gratification towards his family. They were all so close, and the fact that he considered many of his cousins his best friends made him think that much more fondly towards them. The Potters and the Weasleys had been joined with the marriage of his parents, and not a day passed by that he wasn't thankful for the union. His parents had never been unhappy with one another, and at the moment James couldn't have pictured a more perfect family.
He finally entered the convenient little shop, and hoped he would catch sight of his cousin. They had gone a while without performing yet another memorable prank, and he was getting frustrated with the absence of it's usual thrill. Freddie was sure to have noticed the absence, as well. Surely, James thought, Freddie of all people would have noticed the lack of pranking thereof. His fingers found their way around the knick-knacks and items along the aisle, eyes growing wide with anticipation. His uncles [and everyone else] knew how he was, and they surely knew that he wouldn't leave the store without supplies for his next prank, which was apt to be aimed for snape. So, naturally, they knew the professor and would be more than willing to offer their advice. Though, he figured, he and freddie wouldn't need it. As his eyes wandered the faces of the people, they searched for the few individuals he'd be pleased to see. He wouldn't mind running into a classmate or two, but at the moment, he was only looking for one.

FREDDIE ADDINGTON WEASLEY. Freddie kicked a box out of his way, as he brought another one into the back room. His father, the resident prankster extraordinaire had been whipping out more joke items than the current customers could buy. The family had hoards of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes in storage. The last month before term started at Hogwarts was the worst. Students, even some professors were coming in, stocking up for the school year, or at least until the first Hogsmeade trip. This sudden surge of business and money had caused Freddie to work much harder than he'd prefer. He loved working for his father, that much was never debatable, but he was a people person. Working the back room and storage, that just wasn't him. Heavy lifting, getting sweaty...that was only fun to do in front of the ladies, at least that was what James had always let him know. So, if he had been lifting boxes and stocking shelves on the floor, he'd be much happier.
With a rather loud and ostentatious grunt, just to let his father know of his troubles, Freddie hoisted the box up to a higher shelf. He had no idea why he needed another box of Decoy Detonators in the back when the shelves were completely stocked. He was slowly beginning to sense that his father just wanted to keep him busy. It was true, Freddie was like a carbon copy of his old man. Although, in past stories, he had always heard that his father was the gentler of the twin Weasley Wonders, while his brother, and Freddie's namesake was more of the wild and inventive one. Freddie, thankfully, was just completely void of fear and very, very wild. So, this whole business of George Weasley keeping his son busy was most likely the result of a visit from few of the Magical Law Enforcement Offices finest. Freddie had certainly become more trouble since turning seventeen. In fact, he was quite fearless of the consequences of his actions all together.
Looking around the back room at a job well done, Freddie removed he heavy duty working gloves from his hands and tossed them aside. Brushing his hair away from his eyes, he wiped his face with a rag before heading up behind the counter. His father was out on the floor, demonstrating the beauty of a Nosebleed Nougat on a younger looking boy. Freddie recognized him from school, but wasn't sure if he was placed with the Gryffindors or not. Laughing as the kid tried to sop up the blood pouring from his nose, Freddie grabbed a small box of Canary Creams and headed for the shelf. That's when he caught sight of his cousin. Younger by a year, and very similar looking to Freddie, James Sirius Potter had the same love for practical jokes, pranks, and wild antics that his cousin did. With a nod and a grin, Freddie called out to him, 'Oye! Jamie boy!" Freddie stepped up to a wall of shelves, and began placing the Canary Creams on the top shelf.
James was only a year younger, but the special burden he had to pay was Freddie's constant teasing. Although, the kid had more than made it known he could follow in Freddie's shadow quite successfully. With a grin as he continued to work, he kept on talking, "What brings little Jamie Potter to Weasley's Wizard Wheezes? I'd thought your mum forbid you from buying anymore of our products. Remember that Howler last year?" Freddie laughed slightly. It had been a day to remember, really. His Aunt Ginny was just like his Grandmum Weasley when it came to discipline...and public humiliation. Over the years both he and James had gotten plenty of Howlers from various women in the Weasley clan. It was just a part of life for the two of them.
