ADVERTISING RULES
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
okay, so i realize how annoying having to read through rules just
to leave an advert. what i'm trying to do here is to minimize the
amount of work that both you and i have to do to advertise here.
the rules are really short and quite simple.
[01] POST IN THE CORRECT BOARD!
meaning if you we haven't already posted our advert on
your site, you post in the first timers boards. if we have
posted on your site and you're just returning the favor,
you post in the 'linking back' board. see, not that hard.
also, don't post more than once -- it's annoying.
[02] NO AFFILIATION REQUESTS IN ADVERTS!
we have a separate board for affiliation requests, so there's
no need to post your site button and/or button code in
your advert. if it's already built in to your advert, remove it
in the editing process. if you don't, we will and we won't
affiliate with you. end of story.
[03] IMAGES, TEXTS, AND OTHER VARIOUS GRAPHICS!
mkay, folks. recently, we've had some problems with oversized
adverts. so, here's a new rule. the board here is only a specific
width, so any images MUST be smaller than 400 pixels in width.
period. if it stretches our board, we will remove it. if this means
your entire advert is removed because it's all written on a pretty
graphic thingy, then so be it. we'll leave the link, but remove the
image. so just do it.
[04] VIDEOS, OMG!
believe me, there's nothing cooler than watching a video
advertisement for a site BUT the annoying ads attached
to some of them are ugly and make this board ugly along
with them. so, unless your vid is ad-free remove it from your
advert or, again, we'll remove it. sorry, we're kind of particular.
there you go! that's all you have to remember. not too painful, right?
