THE RULES
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
So, I know these seem like a lot of rules and everything but I expect you to read all of these -- they hold the secret phrase that you're gonna need for your application. I'm not a very strict person, but I do make rules for a reason and I would like them to be followed. Mostly, I just give warnings but I'm not afraid to to take action.accounts,
Please, please, please when registering your account use the first and last names of your intended character (I.E. John Doe would be johndoe). This is to help both you and me keep track of which character is which, etc.
After registering an account you have up to seven days to put up an application, finished or not, and seven more to finish it. That's two weeks, people. If an unfinished character application sits there for longer than that, it will get deleted along with the account it's registered on unless cleared with me FIRST.
If you're application is rejected, you have seven additional days to edit the application based on given suggestions before it will be deleted and you will have to re-post it. I'm pretty lenient, so this shouldn't happen often.
If you finish your application, please do not bug anyone to look at it and/or accept it. Sometimes time zones just don't mesh and it might be a little while before it's accepted.applications and characters,
You must fill out and be accepted before posting in and out of character. This means if you have an application put up but not finished or accepted, no posting in the claims. Also, you can only have one character application waiting to be accepted at a time.
Applications must be completed before it will even be considered for acceptance.
There is no character limit as long as you make sure they are ALL ACTIVE. And I don't just mean you logging onto them every so often. Otherwise, they'll be deleted.
No Gary/Mary-sues. Nobody's perfect, even if they seem so. Give your character some faults -- it makes them more interesting.
In terms of face claims, you must have real person as your character's claim. No cartoon or anime people. Nor can two characters, save twins, have the same face claim. Refer to the list if you don't know who has already been claimed and who hasn't. Also, keep the characters age-appropriate. Miley Cyrus would not be appropriate as a twenty year old, nor would George Clooney.
Pregnancy is allowed but I would ask that you run your plot by me first so as to avoid a whole bunch of little kiddies and pregnant women wandering around the site just because you think it would be cool to have a pregnant character.posting,
No god-modding or power playing. You cannot control anyone else's character besides your own. Your character cannot hear another's thoughts nor communicate telepathically. For further information on god-modding or power playing, look it up.
I hate to do this, but the posting minimum is 200 words. Now, this isn't hard to achieve. It's probably close to a ten sentence paragraph, so it's not a lot to ask of you. One-liners in IC posting are not acceptable, sorry but that's the way it is.
Always post in third person past tense while in character. Please try to use correct grammar and spell check. If I catch someone using chat speak or l337 speak (i.e. ur gr8t, g2g, etc.), you will only get two warnings before you're suspended, got it?
The rp is unrated, but if you're gonna go above usual PG-13 material please mark your threads. Not everyone likes to see the 'f' word a million times or read about sex.
If you're post is for a specific person, mark who it's for in the title of the thread or clearly at the top of your post. Any unmarked threads will be considered as open.ooc,
Try not to use chat speak out of character as well, it's rather annoying to most of us. Keep it to a minimum and we'll be fine.
Don't bring ic fights or disagreements ooc. Fighting is actually prohibited, period. If you've got a problem with someone I'd rather you come to me and try and solve it rationally rather than fighting it out all over the boards. The phrase you need to know for your application is: 'weasley is our king.'
Please be polite and courteous. Remember the golden rule, people!
Spam is awesome. It's wicked fun. And you're allowed to do it, just keep it in the board specified specifically for spam. This goes for advertising too. There's a board for it, put it there -- not in some random board where it will never get seen.
DO NOT ADVERTISE OUTSIDE OF THE ADVERTISING BOARDS. It's not cool and kind of annoying, just don't do it, mkay? This means in your signatures or avatars or littly linky things in your profile. It's only okay in CR/Plot Page credits, if someone has attached a link to their account or what ever. It's cool to credit, just leave the link out of it or the entire thing will be removed. You want to advertise another site, you may do so in in the advertising boards.graphics,
Avatar icons must be 100x100 in size. This isn't my doing, proboards just automatically resizes them and sometimes they don't look so great unless it's already 100x100.
In your signature you can have either three 100x100 icons or an image that is no bigger than 250 pixels tall and 450 pixels wide.
Absolutely NO pornographic or even semi-pornographic photos in your signature. This means for male photos that shirtless is all they're allowed to be and for women everything important must be covered and tasteful. I'm serious, dudes.
This also goes for cursing. It's all well and good in posting and whatever, but not everyone likes to see it plastered everywhere. Just say no, mkay?
To give you fair warning, anything in the slightest bit offensive will be removed.
